The building was owned by The Australian Estates & Mortage Co.Ltd situated in Macquarie Street, New Farm, Brisbane, Queensland. A large three storey brick warehouse type construction with small windows was used for the storage of bales of wool. Wagons, railway carriages and trucks loaded with wool were used as transportation to the stores. The building has a sign with the wording 'Erected 1926' and 'Wool Store' (Information taken: from Queensland Post Office Directory, 1934).
