Seaway Mersey is one of the ships that cross Bass Strait to Tasmania from Victoria. It berths at Devonport and calls every week at King Island. This picture was taken from the 'rip view' lookout at Point Lonsdale and in the background can be seen, Point Nepean which is at the bottom of the Mornington Peninsula on the other side of Port Phillip Bay. The Seaway Mersey is due to be replaced in late 2016with a new ship the Seaway Mersey II.
