Seaway Mersey is one of the ships that cross Bass Strait to Tasmania from Victoria. It berths at Devonport and calls every week at King Island. This picture was taken from the 'rip view' lookout at Point Lonsdale and in the background can be seen, Point Nepean which is at the bottom of the Mornington Peninsula on the other side of Port Phillip Bay. The Seaway Mersey is due to be replaced in late 2016with a new ship the Seaway Mersey II.
Bonzle has pictures of Point Lonsdale spanning 52 years taken from 1965 to 2017:

Do you have historical photos of Australia? Why not upload them and add to Bonzle's Photo History of Australia project.
Bonzle's Photo History of Australia project is all about organising photos of Australian places by location and time. When you upload a picture for a place and enter a date for that picture then it automatically becomes part of the Photo History of Australia project. We're trying to create the best, most organised, user contributed historical photo archive of Australia on the internet. So don't let those historical photos go to waste, upload them and share them with the rest of Australia and the World.
