The float is a motor vehicle which has been painted with signs advertising Amos and Andy. There are two gentlemen in the vehicle who have blackened their faces and are dressed in costume. A sign suspended over their heads is also advertising Amos and Andy.
Amos and Andy was a situation comedy popular in the United States from the 1920s through the 1950s. Also known as Amos 'n' Andy.
